CUSTOMS SERVICE DID YOU KNOW, THAT:

Triumphant Apollo 11 astronauts, Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins, had to go through customs after landing on Earth 50 years ago. What did they have to declare? Moon rocks, moon dust and other lunar samples, according to the customs form filed at the Honolulu Airport in Hawaii on July 24, 1969 — the day the Apollo 11 crew splashed down in the Pacific Ocean to end their historic moon landing mission.
The customs form is signed by all three Apollo 11 astronauts. They declared their cargo and listed their flight route as starting Cape Kennedy (now Cape Canaveral) in Florida with a stopover on the moon.

CUSTOMS SERVICE - FAQ
What is a customs brokerage?

Very often, a customs agency is confused with an institution such as the Customs Office, and a customs agent with a customs officer. In fact, the customs agent is a representative of entities (customers) before the customs authorities, and the customs officer is an officer of the Customs Administration.
The Customs Agency, on the basis of the authorization granted, enables the circulation of goods in the European Union and outside it, in the case of export and import of goods (export-import). In addition, it acts as an intermediary in various activities related to the customs administration.
The task of the customs agency is to properly perform the customs clearance and take care of all formalities.

The registration process itself takes about 14 business days, and the submission of the application can be done online.

In what situations is a copy of the invoice sufficient?

In cases where the original invoice is missing, a copy of the invoice with a value not exceeding the equivalent of EUR 70 or for goods with zero or suspended to zero duty rate and zero tax rate may be considered a document used to determine the customs value of the goods.

When should I make a customs declaration?

The notification should be made from the date of submission of the summary declaration by: 1. Ninety days for transport by sea. 2. twenty days for non-sea transport. These periods may be extended by the customs authority upon a written request of the person concerned, submitted before the expiry of the period, by 30 days and 7 days respectively.
